History
Biosan Laboratories is a microbial test kit manufacturer and environmental microbiology laboratory founded in 1973. Our initial microbiology lab was in Ferndale, Michigan, where we remained until 1994 before moving to our current laboratory facility in Warren, Michigan. Since we knew many of our lab customers would benefit from the ability to perform microbiology testing on site, Biosan developed several bacteria and fungi test kits for industrial fluids.
Microbiological Test Kit Manufacturing
In response to our clients’ needs, we developed an agar-based detection method known as a “dipslide” for microbiological testing. Today, using the latest in automation and clean room technology, we manufacture our proprietary Sani-Check® dipslides here in the United States for distribution worldwide. We also design and manufacture other Sani-Check® diagnostic kits for microbial testing of surfaces and industrial fluids, including the Sani-Check® SRB Test Kit for detecting sulfate reducing bacteria.
Microbiology Testing Laboratory
Biosan Laboratories is designated by the United States CDC as an ELITE Laboratory and certified by the State of Michigan EGLE (click here for more information). Our laboratory services include Legionella detection, potable and non-potable water testing and antimicrobial testing for a variety of industries (including textiles, plastics, paints, inks and metalworking fluids) using ASTM, AATCC, JIS and ISO standard microbial methodologies. Biosan also provides consulting services and test protocol design for those clients that require customized testing.
